Well, I will say it's a dive bar....but it's a very nice and has great food dive bar. Expect lots of locals playing darts, folding tables, heavy wine pours, dripping ceilings, great burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and chili fries. Loved the service and vibes. Feels like a cheers bar but make it southern

Walked 200 feet from the Hampton Inn and picked up dinner at this local watering hole. The Tuesday taco option is a good deal and the tacos were delicious. I went with the shrimp. Completed with a cold glass bottle of Barq's root beer. Very friendly service.
Causeway Grill hosted my husband's 50th surprise party last night and everything was fantastic! Food, service, drinks, atmosphere all played a part in making this night special. Booking the space was a breeze and very accommodating for the 60+ people we had show. Thank you for having us and we will definitely be back!

The restaurant is conveniently located next to the Hampton Inn with bar food that will fill you up. Various menu items in a pleasant bar atmosphere and the bartenders are very nice and provide recommendations.
The service is so friendly. Sometimes your order is delayed but she will get to you and it's worth the wait. Great bar food. Get those peppers picked up from your supplier so I can order that dish!
New Ownership!! Definitely worth stopping in. Food is amazing! Chef Heidi's is the real deal. The food is farm to table from the backyard garden. Great place for locals and tourists. Excellent liquor selection and plenty of TVs to catch a game...Saints, LSU, Pelicans, Tulane, Chicago Cubs, Memphis Tigers, etc.
I finally decided to stop in and try the food here. The sign out front made me curious. What exactly is eggplant gravy? Smoking area in a covered area in front of the bar. This is exactly the kind of place I would frequent when I was drinking. A kind of hole in the wall place with working class clientele. I didn't work up the nerve to ask about the eggplant gravy. I did order the bacon cheeseburger, fully dressed and fries. It was pretty darn good. Friendly employees. There are gambling machines, a dartboard, one of those claw machines, a shuffleboard. There were several televisions on and all playing different sports balls games. The parking lot is kind of tricky. If you park in front, the only way out is via Causeway just south of Veterans where the traffic is all together to filter back on Causeway, or the service road and I-10. So be aware of your surroundings.
